Last night we watched two movies- One "The Eyes of Tammy Faye" was really facinating. It was about her rise and fall. After watching it- I can't help but like her. Don't get me wrong. I think she ahs issues (unlike the rest of us) but fundamentally, I think she is a pretty good person. We also watched "The Fog of War," a movie about Robert McNamara, the Seceratary of Defense durning the first half of the Vietnam War. That one was really really good. Both documetaries are good examples of how people are much more likeable when you undersatnd their actions and thoughts. People are rarely stupid...it's just that we don't understand them or don't have all the information!

This morning we drove to Potomac Mills a GIGANTIC shopping mall near DC. We spent a good 6 or 7 hours shopping away...and left without having bought a single thing. I was very proud of us...it helps when you know you don't have the money to spend, but still that is quite a feat! We tried on shoes, looked at clothes, picked our favorite china pattern, and my personal; favorite- people watched. The most interesting thing I saw; tons of women in really really high heels for a day of shopping. They are better women than I. I wore sneakers and MY feet hurt.

The Pope is gone. The process that follows will be interesting to watch.
